Car Crashes Into Ambulance Causing Paramedic To Lose His Leg

A Florida paramedic is just glad to be alive despite losing his leg in a car accident. The paramedic survived the car accident that cost the other driver his life. Police are still investigating the Fort Pierce crash that involved the St. Lucie paramedic Tuesday afternoon.

According to published reports the ambulance was hit in the middle of an intersection by a 63-year-old man. Germaine Lindor smashed into the passenger side of the ambulance but it is not immediately known if he was responsible for the car accident that cost Christopher Doyle his leg. Lindor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Warm Weather, Exercise, Bikes And Cars Add Up To A Deadly Mix In Florida

According to a recent study Florida is the most deadly state in America for pedestrians and bike riders. This marks the eighth straight year Florida has been amongst the top of the list for bicycle and pedestrian fatalities. According to USA Today more than 11% of all pedestrians killed in the U.S. died in Florida. The number is even higher as 17.4% of bicyclists died on Florida’s streets.

The data collected was from 2008 and is the most recent published. Florida’s warm weather and population that is predisposed to outdoor pursuits are contributing factors in the number of deaths. Some advocates are saying there is not enough education done concerning pedestrian and bicycle safety as reported in a story on SunSentinel.com.

Tampa Girl Heads To Cincinnati As She Continues To Recover From Injuries Suffered In A DUI Accident

A wrong-way, head on collision with a DUI driver on Tampa’s Crosstown Expressway took the life of Summer Moll’s mother and almost cost the young girl her life as well. A year-and-a-half later, Moll has made remarkable progress in so many areas. The drunk driving accident left the child with broken legs and arms that were held together by pins. Moll still has one major problem stemming from the car accident and that is a head wound that just won’t seem to heal.

Moll will head to Cincinnati Shriner’s Hospital today hoping to find some answers as to why her head will not heal. The young girl’s medical care has eaten all of her grandmother’s savings as bandages for Moll cost $100 a week according to a story on MyFoxTampaBay.com. On top of it all, the girl’s father is now seeking custody and her grandmother is fighting that battle as well. Summer’s father has been arrested on DUI charges himself in the past and has arrest warrants out for him in Florida.

FLORIDA PERSONAL INJURY BLOG: Young Girl Injured In Golf Cart Accident At Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

The Orange County Sheriff’s office is reporting that a four-year-old girl was injured when a golf cart overturned at Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort. According to a story on TBO.com the young girl was riding in the cart with her father when it overturned and pinned her. Her father claims he swerved to avoid another cart driver heading towards him.

According to the story, the girl suffered injuries to her neck, face and head. She was taken to an Orlando hospital via helicopter and has been listed in stable condition. The crash is currently under investigation and the golf cart was privately owned by the girl’s father, 37-year-old Charles Wickt.

FLORIDA PERSONAL INJURY BLOG: Nick Hogan Will Not Have To Come Back To Florida For Deposition In Negligence Suit

Nick Boella, also known as Nick Hogan, will not be required to return to Florida to give a deposition in a negligence lawsuit filed against him and his family by John Graziano who suffered severe brain damage following a car accident the two were involved in. Pinellas-Pasco County Judge W. Douglas Baird said the deposition could wait until December 11 as Boella is currently filming a movie in California.

According to an article on TampaBay.com, Graziano’s lawyers say they have been trying to depose the son of famous wrestler Hulk Hogan for 16 months. According to the article Graziano suffered severe injuries after Boella crashed his car into a tree while street racing in downtown Clearwater. Boella already spent five months in jail for reckless driving and he is now a resident of California.
